Save Tha Dizzles

(via)

According to my always dependable pals at TheKnot.com, I’ve got exactly 208 days left til The Big Day, so I best be crackin’ on my Save The Dates.  Luckily there’s oodles of inspiration online for making your STD an original, fun one.  Bwahaaaaa.

Ok.  Here’s a smattering of my personal faves:

Firrrrst… the vintage postcard Save The Date.  Theoretically it’s less expensive, cause you’re only paying for postage for a postcard.  As I’m doing the beach/destination wedding thang, I thought this could be perfect:

(via Posh Paperie)

(These vintage postcards above are a GREAT deal – via Reflections)

(These have a twinge of beachy, whimsical sophistication, via “i do” it yourself)

(Matchbox STDs, via)

(via Paper Stories Letterpress & Design)

These scratch off Save The Dates are rad:

(All via Unless Someone Like You)

AND… get ready for the piece de resistance… the cutest, sweetest, most romantic one of ’em all:

Sigh.

This is gonna be fun, y’all.

xoxo,

  • Hey girl! The BIG day is coming up so soon, I am getting very excited!! I really like the first vintage postcard STD and I also think the matches are super cute! I wonder, how do you send them? Not to rain on your parade, but that video save the date was at the bottom of my list! It was too long…I stopped it at like 2 minutes! Anyways, that is my opinion 🙂 Thanks for sharing!!

    Love you,
    Cori

  • Hi Beatrice! Well, I also love the first vintage postcard STD. The matches are ador but a bit pricey – I actually know someone who’s using them now. I’m not sure how you’d send them.

I know, the video STD is long, but it’s soooo sweet and unique. They really took a lot of time… which, of course, I don’t totally have. But anywho. Love ya!

    xoxo,
    Mildred

  • Decisions, decisions!!! I love every single one- of course 🙂
The video STD is precious! Should you want to create one of your own- I think I can recommend a couple excellent shooters and editors who could totally work their TV magic on you… and produce the most epic STD of ’em all- jus sayin 😉 xpx

  • Hi! I love your ideas…the very first vintage postcard is by Posh Paperie, they designed and made all of my wedding paper goodies, they are AMAZING!!!

  • There is an amazing company based out of Ft. Wayne, Indiana (my hometown) that has fantastic save the date & wedding videos. http://www.threadandfilmblog.com/ Check them out for some ideas! The call it wedding cinematography.

  • I just love the ideas above! I recently came across a Save the Date (check it out here: http://meganlangeblog.com/?p=5171) created by a photographer based out of Charlotte, NC who owns Lime Green Photography. Very cool. @Dawn, thanks for the plug for http://www.threadandfilm.com/ – I’m curious how you heard about us?!
