New Year’s, New Year’s, New Year’s

“For what it’s worth… it’s never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be.  There’s no time limit.  Start whenever you want.  You can change or stay the same.  There are no rules to this thing.  We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it.  I hope you see things that startle you.  I hope you feel things you never felt before.  I hope you meet people who have a different point of view.  I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.”  – F. Scott Fitzgerald

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  I hope your nights were spent celebrating in exactly the manner you love: slobbing out on your couch in your PJs, out at a glamorous shindig, or somewhere in between.  Steph and I got real fancy last night and went with a group to a gala (oh you fancy huh) at the Indy Art Museum.  Dranks, food, a live band, and oh yeah, art (!) were there.  Lots of art.  Some snapshots of the night below!:

How amaze were our Rent the Runway dresses?  I can’t handle.

A good Midwestern boy appreciating some art.

“Cause we’re the three best friends that anybody could have…”

Here’s to a few more days left of vacation, to snow falling outside the window in Indiana, to memories of this perfect holiday break with our families, and cheers to a very interesting 2014 to come, I’m sure.

Now let’s get back to what we do best.

Conversations with Mom

One month ago at the Sound of Music Sing-a-long

Karrie: “It was so sweet, Tim had dinner already made in the fridge for me when I came home from the airport.  Pasta with shrimp.”

Mom: “And you wonder why you’re gaining weight!”

Karrie: “You think I’m gaining weight?!”

Mom: “No… when I was there you said you’d gained weight.  I don’t think you’ve gained weight.  But I want you to gain weight… in your stomach.”

Karrie: “………. What?  What do you mean, in my stom-ohhhh.  Alright, I gotta go.”
