Save Tha Dizzles

According to my always dependable pals at TheKnot.com, I’ve got exactly 208 days left til The Big Day, so I best be crackin’ on my Save The Dates.  Luckily there’s oodles of inspiration online for making your STD an original, fun one.  Bwahaaaaa.

Ok.  Here’s a smattering of my personal faves:

Firrrrst… the vintage postcard Save The Date.  Theoretically it’s less expensive, cause you’re only paying for postage for a postcard.  As I’m doing the beach/destination wedding thang, I thought this could be perfect:

(These vintage postcards above are a GREAT deal – via Reflections)

(These have a twinge of beachy, whimsical sophistication, via “i do” it yourself)

These scratch off Save The Dates are rad:

(All via Unless Someone Like You)

AND… get ready for the piece de resistance… the cutest, sweetest, most romantic one of ’em all:

Sigh.

This is gonna be fun, y’all.

xoxo,

Sugar, Lace & Lavender

Currently loving anything with dainty, laser-cut and intricate details…

Clockwise from top left:  (1) That’s the prettiest little lace underthingy I’ve ever seen.  But if that chick isn’t careful, she’s gonna show everybody her petunia. (2) That iPhone case reminds me of a snowflake.  And it’s leather – rawr. (3) Now they make umbrellas for umbrella drinks that look like pink doilies?! Genius. (4) Those are the most gorgeous antique milk glass sconces I’ve EV-AH seen.

Also LOVING every shade of the lilac rainbow these days.  Especially when you pepper it with some sugary sweet shades of apricot, charcoal, and that muted, cloudy, minty-blue hue.  PS:  Do you think that ice cream tastes like lavender?!

If that color palette fills your soul with sugarplums and gumdrops like it does mine, but you’re hesitant about using pastels anywhere outside your 5-year old’s room, take a cue from the photos above:  saccharin shades instantly become chic and sophisticated in big kid rooms when you layer ’em with earth tones, or anchor them with black.

Happy Tuesday!
