And The Winner…

…Of the above signed copy of new book Nathan Turner’s American Style” is…

Maria! Yeah gurrrrrllllll…  And as you so well put it…:

I couldn’t agree more. Maria, please send us an email at covetliving@gmail.com with your address, and we’ll promptly send you your delightful new book.  And while we’re talking delightful, last week was our fave designer’s book signing in LA, and it didn’t disappoint.  Mainly because Nathan Turner is one of the most gracious people… and of course, refined-yet-warm, hilarious-with-a-touch-or-two-of-class. Just the nicest person.  A quick snapshot of us from the book party:

Anywho, thanks everyone for your lovely thoughts on Nathan and his decor style, and thanks to Nathan for offering to sign the book for this fun contest!

Stephanie’s Coming To LA!!!!!!!

Words cannot express the excitement that’s been building for months over the fact that my beloved co-blogger Stephy poo – truly one of my besties – will be in town in just TWO DAYS, PEOPLE.

It seems the older I get, the more meaningful my friendships become.  I think they fall into the same category as everything else in my twenties I kinda took for granted: Having all my loved ones alive and on the other end of a phone if I needed to hear their voices; a certain wanderlust and naivete with still being new to LA and to adulthood.

Well, I’m now at the point in my life where I’ve learned just how incredibly precious life and the people in it are.  Stephanie’s a big part of that!  Sooo, on the agenda for Spring Break 2012?

1) Scouring the stores of some of our favorite designers like Kristen Buckingham:

Nathan Turner:

And Kishani Perera:

2) Driving down Abbott Kinney in Venice to check out the furniture and clothing stores, such as Plantation (below):

3) Lounging and grilling out at her rented Venice pad, Chicago-style… except it’s March and we’ll be blocks from the beach:

4) St. Patty’s celebrations which hopefully won’t end in tears, arrests, or both. On tap: a delicious and sloppy brunch at brand new Santa Monica restaurant Brick + Mortar, followed by whoooo knowwwwsss.

Anywho, I can’t wait for you to get here, ya big floozy!  See you in t-minus two days. Mwah!
