Grammy Recap

DAYUM.

If anyone needs me, I’ll be at the gym.

THERE ARE NO WORDS.

I mean.  I wouldn’t even know where to begin.  I cannot WAIT for Joan to get a hold of her tonight.

TACKY.

A-DORABLE.

…AND SO SUPER BAD ASS.

MOST GRACIOUS RED CARPET WHITNEY WORDS.

POSITIVELY FRIGHTENING.

LAVENDER  > GRAY.

HONEY, TUCK YOUR PETUNIA IN.

DISNEY PRINCESS PRETTY.

It’s Smurfy, but I loved it.  She can do no wrong for me, mostly because she’s always so fun, so positive and so bubble-gum peppy.

YOU KNOW WHAT…  I’M JUST NOT OVER IT YET.

AMEN…

…that she gave the Shirley Temple ringlets and red lipstick a break.  I think we all needed it.

SMOKIN.

ANISTON…  IS THAT YOU?

STUNNING, BUT…

1) Sequined clutch + sequined gown = overkill.  2) Tarantula mascara = yikes.  Otherwise, flawless.

BACKSTREET’S BACK, AND THAT HAIR IS NOT ALRIGHT.

LOSE THE BELT…

…and I would’ve loved it.  Probably because it reminds me of the dress Emma Stone donned a few months back.

CONFECTION PERFECTION.

MAGNIFICENT.

And so, so sad.  Huge props to Hudson for the level of poise it probably took to get through that.  I sobbed (and sobbed and sobbed), and my boy roommate stared at me like I had 3 heads.  I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think Billy Ray Cyrus of all people may’ve summed it up best when he said, “(Whitney) sang the backdrop to our lives.”  And that is true.

THAT SAID…  FAVORITE VIDEO OF ALL TIME:

Long live the 80’s,

THE Most Gorgeous Dress, EVER.

If you’ve spent any sliver of time on Pinterest, or followed Fashion Week last fall, you know that this Tibi ensemble caused a collective (GASP!) heard round the world, and a monumental stir with floozies everywhere demanding to know WHERE and WHEN they could get their hands on this gem.  I mean, personally, my crush on that dress puts my 8th grade pipe dream crush to SHAME.  The color combo is SO fresh, and the dress is so relaxed and SO chic.  I can’t even handle it.  But ready for the best part??  It’s not a dress – pas de tout! – it’s a cami + a long skirt.  AH!  Do you even KNOW what that MEANS?  It means the possibilities are endless.  Wear the cami + skirt together, like they did on the runway.  Or, wear the maxi skirt with simple white tank.  Wear the cami with a cute little pair of shorts.  Wear the skirt in the fall with a tee and a cool leather jacket.  I could go on and on.  Having it as 2 pieces renders it completely versatile, and even more irresistible than it was before.  I die.

The other good news is, the wait is over.  It just so happens that one of my favorite boutiques on the planet is going to be stocking it come March.  If you don’t know about PINK & NAVY BOUTIQUE yet, gurl, you should.

Pink & Navy is located on Anna Maria Island (Karrie‘s 2nd home and wedding venue) and is owned by the most adorable, sweet and stylish gal you will ever meet, Janae Rudacille.  She has the most ridiculously spot-on taste I’ve ever seen, and cherry picks ONLY the most amazing pieces for the store.  I have only been able to peruse this boutique once in person, but follow P&N’s Facebook page religiously to see what’s what, because it’s chockfulla wardrobe dime-pieces that are totally gorgeous, totally chic and seemingly effortless.

Happy Shopping and Happy Weekend!
