THE Most Gorgeous Dress, EVER.

If you’ve spent any sliver of time on Pinterest, or followed Fashion Week last fall, you know that this Tibi ensemble caused a collective (GASP!) heard round the world, and a monumental stir with floozies everywhere demanding to know WHERE and WHEN they could get their hands on this gem.  I mean, personally, my crush on that dress puts my 8th grade pipe dream crush to SHAME.  The color combo is SO fresh, and the dress is so relaxed and SO chic.  I can’t even handle it.  But ready for the best part??  It’s not a dress – pas de tout! – it’s a cami + a long skirt.  AH!  Do you even KNOW what that MEANS?  It means the possibilities are endless.  Wear the cami + skirt together, like they did on the runway.  Or, wear the maxi skirt with simple white tank.  Wear the cami with a cute little pair of shorts.  Wear the skirt in the fall with a tee and a cool leather jacket.  I could go on and on.  Having it as 2 pieces renders it completely versatile, and even more irresistible than it was before.  I die.

The other good news is, the wait is over.  It just so happens that one of my favorite boutiques on the planet is going to be stocking it come March.  If you don’t know about PINK & NAVY BOUTIQUE yet, gurl, you should.

Pink & Navy is located on Anna Maria Island (Karrie‘s 2nd home and wedding venue) and is owned by the most adorable, sweet and stylish gal you will ever meet, Janae Rudacille.  She has the most ridiculously spot-on taste I’ve ever seen, and cherry picks ONLY the most amazing pieces for the store.  I have only been able to peruse this boutique once in person, but follow P&N’s Facebook page religiously to see what’s what, because it’s chockfulla wardrobe dime-pieces that are totally gorgeous, totally chic and seemingly effortless.

Happy Shopping and Happy Weekend!

Karrie’s beach wedding on Style Me Pretty

…head on over to the Mothership of all wedding blogs – STYLE ME PRETTY – & check out all the gorgeous photos (hi-5, Joielala girls!)

If you’re wanting to do a destination wedding that’s laid-back, unique and full of personal touches, you will definitely want to check this one out.  I talked about Karrie’s wedding HERE, and about the fact that that wedding was gorgeous, yes, but what made that heartwarming riot of a sherbert-and-saccharin-colored, rustic-beach-themed wedding really amazing was that everyone there was so relaxed, incandescently happy, and almost floating on an ethereal breeze – in super slo-mo.  I’ve been to (and in) about 847 weddings, but I’ve never in my life seen one like this.  It could’ve had something to do with the fact that everyone was on vacation… or the fact that the bride’s vision + the stylists‘ creative chops equaled a cracked-out, vintage J.Crew-esque, beachy fairy wonderland…  or that the maid of honor got gut-busting laughter for not only weaving ‘Beaches’ into her speech, but likening good, hot Midwest boys to the kind of exotic endangered species you only see on Animal Planet…  but mostly, it was because the hosts set the tone for their guests.  At ANY party.  A tornado could’ve blown through Anna Maria Island that weekend, and Karrie & Tim would not have been fazed.  They would have gone with the flow, done a little jig, and relished the fact that their best friends and family were all there with them.  And not to get goofy on you guys, but if that’s not the best takeaway for your own wedding – or your own life, for that matter – then I don’t know what is.  A bit of that joie-de-vivre is captured in the out-takes from crappy hour…

Cheers, once again, to the gorgeous bride and her rascal of a groom – (TEEM!) – King of Animal Planet’s endangered beasts.

xoxo,
