Estate Sale! Steph’s Home Decor

I’m downsizing in the next few weeks and selling – oh – almost HALF of the awesome stuff in my house.  Who wants to do some virtual shopping??  I can ship just about anything except furniture – local Columbus, OH folks can do pick-up.  Purchasing instructions at bottom of post.

MOROCCAN VITRINE / CHINA CABINET / BEDROOM ARMOIRE – $300

I’ve used this as a bedroom dresser for lingerie, and for a dining room cabinet to house all my antique tumblers.  You could also use it to display high heels, books etc.  I love the little Moroccan arches at the top.

CREAM DISTRESSED ARMOIRE / TV CABINET / WARDROBE – $700 (retail: $1500)

This one pains me to sell…  Beautiful armoire / TV cabinet purchased from GDC in Charleston, SC for $1500. Cream distressed finish, 2 large drawers and upper & lower cabinets. I have always used this to house my TV, but it does have a bar inside for hangers, so you could use it as a wardrobe for the bedroom. We had to remove the moldings once to fit it through the door of my apartment in Chicago, so they are currently secured with thin nails. I would recommend gluing and permanently nailing these back in once this piece is situated in your home.  Craigslist link is HERE for more pics.  Dimensions:  47″ wide x 77″ tall x 28″ deep

CREAM DRESSER – $100

I’m keeping the knobs I added to the top drawer (sahhree) but you can certainly add a gorgeous pair of your own (from Anthro?) to customize this piece.  Otherwise the pulls are a cool, Midcentury modern muted brass/gold.  There’s a cosmetic hairline crack in the top – I just put a tray over it when it was in my room.  Dimensions:  30″ wide x 43″ tall x 17″ deep.

POTTERY BARN ADANA RUG (8 x 10) – $500 (retail: $800+) – SOLD

Purchased last year – no longer available at PB.  No stains.  Recently professionally cleaned and well cared for.  Maybe the coolest rug PB has ever put out – it looks more unique and ethnic than most of their inventory.

OVERDYED RUG – 8’2″ x 9’11” – $300 (retail: $658)

JUST bought this in the fall.  Perfect condition.  From Rugs USA.

1947 VOGUE MAGAZINE COVER, FRAMED – $150 OBO – SOLD

Professionally framed. Perfect condition. Matting is a woven linen grasscloth. Dimensions: 28.5″ wide x 36.5″ tall

FRAMED MAP OF CHARLESTON – $200 – SOLD

This one pains me a little…  I had it professionally framed for my master bath when I lived in Charleston.  Mint condition.

RITA FRAMED PRINT – $150 – SOLD

I love this in a kitchen.  Originally saw it in Rita Konig’s space in Domino Mag and fell in love.  Dimensions: 29.5″ wide x 37.75″ tall.  Distressed gold frame.  Professionally framed.

BRONZE & CRYSTAL CHANDELIER – $100

14″ x 14″.  So sweet.  One of the bulbs/candles is currently out – I think it’s an easy electrical fix but it’s beyond my expertise.  I’ve had this looking pimp in a closet, and would also be sweet in a nursery or powder room.

PEACH / PINK MOROCCAN CHANDELIER – $150 – SOLD

From Anthropologie YEARS ago.  Discontinued and fabulous.  I’ve had it in a few bedrooms + a living room.  Salmon-y peach / pink color.

PAIR OF NAVY BLUE & WHITE CURTAIN PANELS – $175 – SOLD

Modern navy blue & white curtains…  I recently bought this fabric after seeing it in Clara’s room on Young House Love, and sewed the curtains.  Each is 97 inches long – hung in a room with 9 ft ceilings below.

(Online) Yard Sale!

photo via Real Simple

Since I shouted my upcoming move from the rooftops earlier this week, now I’m gonna shamelessly use my blog to pimp out the stuff I’m not taking with me.  Cause who doesn’t love a good yard sale?  Below are the items up for grabs – shoot me an email at stephanie.m.ballard@gmail.com if you’d like to have any of them, and I’ll send you an invoice (shipping not included in prices below):

VINTAGE MYLAR BAMBOO WALLPAPER – 1.3 ROLLS – $50

Purchased from Chicago interior designer / shop owner.  A standard roll is about 28 inches wide by 13 feet long…  This roll is 28 inches wide by almost 17.5 feet long – so enough to do the inside of a closet (BANG)…

…a small powder room, entryway, swanky accent wall, drawer liners, framed wallpaper panels – OR – I have also seen designers use this paper to cover the top of a coffee table / piece of furniture, and then lay a sheet of glass on top.  For more ideas on how to use it, click HERE.  For the eBay listing, click HERE.

ROBERT ABBEY GENIE LAMPS – $150 each / $250 for pair (retail: $279 EACH)

I love these lamps, but I have so. many. lamps. that I don’t have a place for ’em in the new place.  They’re a gorgeous raspberry plum color, and are a great pop of color wherever I’ve ever put them.

SHABBY CHIC LAMP – $75

I had this beaut in my home office in Charleston and it’s been in storage since.  Purchased from glorious local haven Celadon Home for $169.  Gently used – tags are still on it.  Would be really sweet in a little girl’s or a teenager’s room, but would also be really chic in an office or on a bedside table.

ANTHROPOLOGIE COQO FLORAL RUG (4×6) – $50

Does have a few small spots (towards the bottom right corner in photo) but is otherwise thick, lush and in great condition.  I had this in my house in Charleston for a brief time…  so pretty.  You can always layer a thicker or smaller rug over a larger (more inexpensive) jute rug, like so:

And per the color genius herself, Cassandra Lavalle, you can pair tomato red with green/turquoise OR with lilac for an unexpected, chic combo:

POTTERY BARN CHINDI RUG (5×8) – $100

Ordered this new last year and literally (and unfortunately) used it for about a day.  Still have the packaging – in great condition.  It reminded me of something straight from the “Something’s Gotta Give” set.

LARGE ANTIQUE TOAST RACK / LETTER SORTER – $45

RUSTIC WHITE POTTERY BARN CANDLE HOLDERS – $40 for Set of 4
