What’s UP people?! Happy Saturday! I’ve been dying to nerd out with one of these posts for awhile… and this one’s gonna be long! So, take a bathroom break, grab your coffee, pop a squat & hit play on my new favorite song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0Pt7M0weUI / oh and PS – it’s late and I’m 107 and falling asleep, so I’ll add rest of hyperlinks & credits tomorrow! For now, some of the pics link directly to the source if you click them… and/or most are on my Pinterest page.
GET A LOADUH THIS PHOTOGRAPHER
If you were ever thinking about coming to SoCal, start following Ryan Longnecker’s photography on Instagram – who shoots mostly San Diego & Laguna – and you’ll soon be transported to the blissful, breezy wonderland we live in and love.
GET IN MY FIREPLACE.
HAVE YOU EVER? Look at that muffin!! Er, baby bunny.
NEW FABRIC OBSESSION…
Arjumand’s World, available through Supply Showroom.
COMING SOON TO MY FINGERNAILS = Essie’s “Come Here” / PS – that’s sold out on Amazon, so a close match is Flashed from their gel line. I know this because I painted it on at CVS like the hoodlum I really am earlier today.
COMING SOON TO MY KITCHEN.
…Happy Birthday to me (?) Tehe. This is an Étu pizza serving board… Karrie got one as a housewarming gift and it looks beautiful perched up against the backsplash, but is so massive that it’s great to cut (a whole meal’s worth of veggies) on it.
SUCH A BEAUT! Via 1st Dibs. You know I break for a good oushak.
THIS SLOUCHY LITTLE SETTEE SLAYS ME.
#sallysellsseashellsbytheseashore… also love that paisley print.
GUS NEEDS THAT DOG BED.
But 4x bigger, because he is a small horse.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT THIS HOUSE?
I’ve seen a few different shots of this house circulate the past month or so, and I do a deep inhale and exhale when I see it. Truthfully – individually, I don’t know if there’s one item in that space I couldn’t live without or would do in my own house (I would do the bamboo blinds and a neutral palette, but…) …but something about it speaks to me every time I look at it. I love it. There’s something to be said for simple being luxurious.
HEY LITTLE FELLA!
Serena & Lily is killing it lately… among other things, with this little Cooper leather stool. Pop 2 under an open console, and you’ve got back-up seating for a party.
I’D DO THOSE IN A HOT SECOND IN MY KITCHEN.
RUSTIC WISHES & COZY DREAMS.
That’s what this pottery is made of.
THAT SINK IS A REVELATION…
It’s already amazing because it’s integrated with the countertop / also made of marble.. AND because it’s an apron-front (aka farmhouse) sink in a *bathroom*, which you hardly ever see (I’m currently doing this in a kids bath in Wisconsin, PS)… but what I love here is the dropped front – which makes washing chubby grubby little hands much easier for kiddos who aren’t quite tall enough to reach. Kids bath (vanities) are always a challenge, because while you want to lower the vanity / cabinet height slightly to accommodate them, they’re gonna outgrow it faster than a pair of Osh Kosh b’Gosh’s. Also – love how the center portion / sink cabinet steps out from the rest of the vanity. Anytime you can change depths / heights on cabinets, it adds interest and makes it look way custom.
HALF FISHBONE.
Cuz you & me both are always running outta new hairdos.
PRETTY PLEASE GIVE ME A LITTLE GIRL’S ROOM TO DO STAT.
Sweet little roman shades or a big long lumbar on the bed? So precious. About $60/yard thru Lewis & Sharon.
( BEEEEEEEEEEEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP !!! )
I wouldn’t be surprised if – down the road whenever I pop out a kid – it’s gonna come out with 4 legs and a coat of blonde fur.
REASON # 847 WHY WHOLE 30 IS DOABLE.
…because this Thai Ginger Cashew Kale salad.
I’M NOT A KARDASHIAN PERSON…
…and by that I mean, when I see them on TV sometimes I feel like my soul rots a little bit before I have time to change the station. But, loving those two cuties and their easy glam beauty in this 70’s-esque shot. Gigi’s dewy makeup is also ON POINT.
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DRESS I’VE EVER SEEN.
I say that about a lot of things, but in this case I really mean it. It’s Elie Saab, and I’ve had it stashed in a vault for years. So it’s basically vintage now, which makes it even cooler.
THE PEACH CHINTZ!! THE PEACH CHINTZ!
I had to stalk this from another blogger to track it down. It’s through Classic Cloth (who used to be with Dessin Fournier in the PDC, but has now moved and I can’t find them). Perhaps I should check Platform 29-1/2. Anyhow. I wanna use it anywhere/everywhere…
…on some Euro Shams:
Or (EHHHMAHGAHHHH), on a a settee comme ça in my future bedroom { as seen at Hollywood at Home }:
MY FRIDAY NIGHT DREAMS IN ONE PICTURE.
I mean, wait. Let’s go clubbing! ..bahahha. Not.
NOT YOUR AVERAGE ANTIQUE MIRRORED TILE.
Je love. Je snapped this shot at Ann Sacks in Laguna last summer.
WHEN CAN I MOVE IN?
Just a happy little vignette from Hollywood at Home last Fall… I swear they can do no wrong.
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAahahahahahahahahahaha:
BOLIVIAN RUG COVERS OTTOMAN. #yumnumnumnum
And I’m trying to remember, but I feel like that blue & white fabric on the right is from Peter Dunham’s outdoor line. Which translates to kid-proof indoors.
THE ONLY OUTFIT I EVER WANNA WEAR.
I mean that too…and ps, they’re a good insta follow.
THE DRESS THAT PINK PIPE DREAMS ARE MADE OF.
…in the window of a boutique in Carmel last April, when Karrie and I (and Teem too) were there for a friend’s wedding.
AH nutbuckets, why didn’t I buy it?? …it was spend-ay, I remember. That’s probably why.
OH, HEEEEEY SUMMATIME!
Or vaycay.
I REALLY LIKE THIS FABRIC.
OOOOH I spy a big ol fatty stack of drapery panels. Or big luscious throw pillows on a sectional.
ALWAYS.
#gusgusforpresident
RTR FOR THE WIN.
Just got on RTR Unlimited and I’m literally sitting here with one finger up my nose, and the other finger on the button waiting for this to come available so I can snap it up.
THAT TRIM THOUGH.
I’d take a house fulla neutrals with just a smidge of that trim on a pillow, and call it a day. Prettiest fabric bling I ever saw.
THALLY DRAPER’TH BACKWARDTH BRAID.
Can somebody please do that to my hair?
SO PERKY!
Such a happy, canary-colored fabric… I think it’s out of stock, which is devastating. I tracked it to here.
HOLY SWEET BABY JESUS CHECK OUT THAT MARBLE.
I don’t even know what it is, but you betta believe imma find out.
LIMEWASHED WONDER.
I feel like I see all the same style of tables, all the time. This one feels different to me – there’s something primitive about the base, but it’s still interesting. I’d drink my coffee here anytime. Holla at me for info.
MARK D. SIKES DOES NO WRONG.
All his spaces are so perfectly layered and never look over-decorated… just like beautiful things have been collected over time.
WARDROBE WISHLIST NUMERO UNO.
Love this 80’s-esque pink ruffled number.
HELLO, PRETTY.
Love this clean-cut but still traditional wall sconce.
GET. OFF. MY. WISHLIST. AND. ONTO. MY. FEETS.
(Note: only place I can find these still is here)
THAS RULL PRETTY.
From Robert Kime.
PEOPLE: IT’S A REVERSE OGEE EDGE!
As in, upside down. As it flip it and reverse it, Missy. Perfect for when you wanna mix things up on say – the island – to differentiate it from the perimeter’s countertop edge profile.
I CAN’T FIGURE OUT WHERE THIS IS FROM BUT I NEED IT.
It feels part Mally Skok, part vintage, and part Raoul Textiles.
UPDATE: my girl Betsy from Shop TEOT gotst my back! It’s from here.
PRINCE ALI, FABULOUS HE, ALI-Ah-BAHHHH-BWAHHHHHH.
Just kidding – wrong cultural reference. But look at this Moroccan beauty! I’ve never seen that pale blue color in one of these rugs. Saw this at House of Cindy’s perch at the Rose Bowl flea market. Shouldahcouldahwouldah.
RUFFLE ME SMITTEN.
DOUBLE CHAISE? YES PLEASE.
Two corners to curl up in. Plus, I love the style of this sofa – it’s unfussy but still so cozy.
ZEES BAG MAKES ME FEEL SUH FRANNNNCH JUST TO LOOK AT.
LOOK AT THAT HARDWARE.
Jenny Komenda finds the most amazing things.
WHO THINKS OF THIS??!! GENIUS!
And so gorgeous.
AIN’T IT THE TRUTH.
WHERE CAN I FIND ME SOME PEACH-HANDLED FLATWARE?
EVERYTHING. {via Lauren Leiss}
OBSESSED.
Pretty sure this is Mosaic House. Don’t tell Kelly Nutt I’m flinging out her sources.
IT’S WHOLE 30 PEOPLE!
Contrary to the popular belief that the only thing you can eat on Whole 30 is a bowl of ice, behold: creamy spinach sweet potato noodles with cashew sauce.
TOME ON THE LEFT, J.CREW ON THE RIGHT. AMAZING.
HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A ZINC COUNTERTOP?
Cuz I haven’t. Until now. But that’s not ugly.
COMING SOON TO THE LOVESHACK AT CASA CL.
Zak + Fox’s Khotan.
STOVE ‘O MY DREAMS.
HELLO, SPRING.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST… HAAAAAAAA –
The perfect quote-caboose to this post fulla pipe dreams.
xoxo,
How I love these posts, especially during a hair-bending tax season. Like a mini-vacation at my desk. And I love the video. Made me cry a teeny bit. The gal on the Soul Train line groovin’ with her walker? Yeah, that’ll be me. xo
