EVERYTHING from Revolve Clothing right now… including this amazing dress I just ordered in preparation for b-day fest 2015.
This jam… for running:
The vintage rug layered on top of that Tabarka Tile… the vanity… the sconces in the mirror… and just about everything in the hizzle Amber of Amber Interiors just did in this California Eclectic home.
And if you need gorgeous, one-of-a-kind rugs, I suggest her shop. They look fab online, but I have a friend who bought one in real life and said they’re all beautiful and in great condition.
Arcona products, including this new serum. My skin flipped its sh*t when I moved here – probably because I was slathering it in sunscreen every day – but then I got a facial at the Arcona Spa in Santa Monica on Karrie’s recommendation, and my skin cleared up in a matter of days. I haven’t looked back (or used anything else, other than their products) since. It’s pricey, but the line is all natural and amazing. I use the Toner Tea Bar + Magic Dry Ice + Advanced A Serum (below) when I can hoard enough samples of it. Did I say that out loud? The Mandarin Brightening Peel is also the cat’s pajamas.
Just started binge-watching on Netflix. Can’t stop.
I’m all about pinning some life lessons these days. It helps.
This dress + that hair do. I’ll take it.
Galbraith & Paul’s Lotus pattern is something you usually see covering the walls of Powder Rooms all over Pinterest, but the gals from Good Bones Great Pieces (or, I guess they’re McGrath II now) recently did some chairs in ’em. So pretty. We also just ordered samples of all the color ways in this pattern, and they are stupidly gorgeous in person. Dove Gray might be my fave.
Long, flowy mermaid hair. Every time I try to grow mine out, I get fussy and impatient, and cut it in the tweener stage. I’m gonna let it hang out this time.
Baby hex mosaic tile flooring, comme ça. I dunno if it reminds me of Grandma’s bathroom floor or the floors at my high school (built in 1929), but I love it.
Drinking lemon water in the a.m… (I also pop mint + cucumber in mine, and let it marinate in a giant Ball jar before I drink it). Super refreshing and apparently also super good for you.
Again. More wise words. Nous sommes nos choix means “We are our choices.” Ain’t it the troofs.
I love my mornings, which look like this. It’s like I haven’t adjusted to Pacific Coast Time yet, even after a year, because I get up around 5am and can hardly keep my eyes open after 9pm. But that time in the mornings – right before anyone else gets up & before the sun comes up & everything is quiet = one of my favorite times of the day.
This is what almost every sunset here looks like. The sky is always pink. I snapped this walking Goose after work the other day in our hood.
This sculpture by Peter Gentenaar. I’d take it as an art print, a sculpture, the ruffles on my skirt or printed on fabric. It’s fab.
The sun is always warm here but the water is FREEZING right now, and if I had balls, they would shrink to the size of raisins every time I jumped in. But I do it anyway, because there’s next to nada that’s more invigorating.
That pink marble. I die.
I need a pair or 12 of these for summer.
Everything from Raoul Textiles (thissun via Lulu DK’s Pinterest). So playful and unique – especially in a sea of (everything else that looks the same).
The perfect (staple) dress – for work (with a blazer over it), for Sunday brunch, or for date night.
Vintage Hmong textiles, like this pillow (sold out now on Etsy), but that chick’s shop is legit.
Monday nights at my house, which look like this. And all the amazing friends I’ve made that come over every week.
My new Billabong weekender bag from Becker’s Surf Shop in Malibu. (Look at the bright coral zipper!) It’s perfect.
Le sigh. I know this feeling well, and I am holding tight to the hope that I’ll have that again someday.
Last night, which looked like this. Design Porn + DVR + Pasta = perfection. I’d love to feel like a nerd, but I hit the town twice this week on school nights, and found my house keys in my underwear drawer once. #timetomarinate
Molly’s hair color. I tried “brown” for the umpteenth time last week in one of those efforts to go au naturel and save some coin, and it’s beyond godawful on me. I’ll save elsewhere. Bring on the blonde.
Here we go again. But seriously – ye gotta, right?? Otherwise then you blink and it’s almost over. Sure, there’s always a chance that if you try something that scares you, it may not work out. But damn, those are better odds than the 100% chance that it WON’T work if you don’t even try. How does it go? “Everything you want is on the other side of fear.”
Spring-y, vintage-y, and so colorful:
When have I not loved a good Vintage Sputnik? …but I REALLY love this one.
The perfect Spring outfit. Aviators, a wife beater, and giant Hammer pants. 2 Legit.
These bistro chairs are PERFECTION.
A sweet and inexpensive way to display old family photos… with washi tape.
Layered necklaces.
The cane chair + the blue drapery panels (and really everything) in this room by Betsy Burnham.
Again with the mermaid hair.
This little hanging porch chair / swing thing makes me want to rent a shack on the beach so I can hang this outside.
An all-white bedroom with one big, bad ass show-stopping element.
xoxo,
